RAGA is a “527” political organization, which can raise unlimited funds from individuals and corporations. As such, the group is required to file periodic reports with the IRS, listing the organization’s donors.
On February 1, 2020 RAGA filed its 2021-Q4 report with the IRS, covering contributions received between November 24, 2020 through to December 31, 2020. A review by Documented found more than a dozen new corporate contributors, including PayPal, Zillow, Dish Network, PC Matic, and Maximus.
RAGA has faced widespread criticism for the role that – along with its 501(C)(4) policy arm, the Rule of Law Defense Fund (RLDF) – it played promoting the March to Save America rally, which preceded the riot at the U.S. Capitol. On January 7th, the day after the riot, Documented revealed that RLDF had paid for a robocall encouraging people to march on the Capitol.
