ADF Education Litigation Funding Proposal to Ziklag, May 2021
Published on October 17, 2023This funding proposal was prepared by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and provided to Ziklag on May 25, 2021. Ziklag is a christian right funding group. ADF was seeking funding for a litigation strategy aimed at securing a court ordered school voucher mandate that would drain hundreds of billions each year from public schools.
From the proposal:
"The plan is to create a Parent's Rights Legal Team (PRLT) within Alliance Defending Freedom(ADF). This would be made up of approximately 5 lawyers and support. The approximate budget
would be $2,000,000 to $3,000,000 for an 18 month to 3-year effort. 18 months to 3 years is the estimated time for the cases to work their way to the Supreme Court. The first 4 to 6 cases could be in the trial courts by the fall of 2021."
"The goal would be to secure a ruling from the Supreme Court that declares the public school’s method of mandating a narrow and particular thought and belief system (CRT, LGBTQ, BLM) is unconstitutional. Since every educational model must be based upon a particular belief system, the remedy is to allow choice of schools by allowing the money to follow the student."
