On November 22, 2021 West Virginia Treasurer Riley Moore spearheaded a letter to the U.S. Banking Industry warning that states would take action to fight "the ongoing and growing economic boycott of traditional energy production industries by U.S financial institutions." 15 other state treasurers signed on to the letter.
