Turning Point USA Latest Tax Filing Shows Massive Increase in Revenue
Published on June 8, 2022Turning Point USA (aka "TPUSA") has aligned itself closely to the Trump family. The group's founder and CEO, Charlie Kirk had a role with the Trump campaign advising on “youth outreach,” and was later chair of the group “Students for Trump.” Kirk published a 2020 book called “The MAGA Doctrine,” which Trump helped promote on social media. The group holds an annual fundraiser at Trump's Mar a Lago resort, and Donald Trump and members of his family are frequent guests at this and other TPUSA events.
The Trump years have seen a massive increase in revenue for TPUSA. The latest tax filing, dated May 2022, lists revenue of $55m, up from $39m the previous year. This latest TPUSA filing - technically its 2020 return - details the group's fundraising through to the end of June 2021. Since 2016, the year Trump won the election, TPUSA revenue has increased by 580%.
