Utah Comment Letter to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
Published on August 5, 2022An email from SFOF President Derek Kreifels on February 15, 2022 regarding SFOF's comment letter to the Office of the Currency and Controller (OCC) shows that over a dozen SFOF affiliated state treasurers and attorney generals signed on to the letter.
The final SFOF comment letter is indistinguishable from the draft and includes one of SFOF’s central complaints which centered on denying the relative importance of climate change. “Climate-related financial risk is not the gravest threat to our banking system and should not be elevated to that status over economic downturns," reads the letter.
